Time
It’s been 10 years since I came to the United States from El Salvador. Even though I am thankful for living in the United States I do miss my beloved home land. For some reason I feel like in El Salvador life is more relaxing. In the United States, everything revolves around time. You have to get to work on time, you have to be at school on time, you have to turn your assignments on time, and you have to go to the doctor at a specific time; everything has to be done at a specific time. I think that is the reason I find that times moves very quickly here in the United States and before you know it you are no longer an 11 year old kid but a 21 year old college student soon to be an Electrical Engineer. In El Salvador people do not put too much importance on time. They wake up in the morning eat break fast and go to work, similar to here the United States however people over there never rush. You will rarely see people watching their clock constantly worrying about been late. This does not mean people don’t organize their lives according to time. School and some jobs do start at a specific time. People just tend to worry about doing what they have to do and not worry about when things are due. It might sound crazy but thing tend to work very well and everything seems to fall into place at the right time.
